Land
Our ARR properties are in the Southeast U.S. because of the area’s abundance of marginal agricultural land, high carbon yield potential, access to native seedlings at scale and comparatively lower natural disaster risk.
We use a proprietary land screening tool to identify the most desirable land parcels considering soil type, rainfall, native tree species and other site conditions to optimize carbon yield and biodiversity. The output of this analysis serves as a template for our foresters in the ultimate design of our planting program.
Chestnut is dedicated to forming lasting partnerships with local communities through mutually beneficial nature restoration projects.
