Chestnut Carbon Joins Green Sports Alliance to Advance Climate Leadership in Sports

Chestnut Carbon is thrilled to join Green Sports Alliance to partner with teams, leagues, and venues committed to advancing environmental leadership across the industry. As sports organizations increasingly embrace climate action—and leverage their platforms to inspire millions of fans—high-quality carbon removal credits are a natural fit to complement existing emission reduction strategies.
Carbon removal credits are particularly well suited for addressing hard‑to‑abate emissions common in sports, including game‑day and race‑day operations, team travel, and logistics. Chestnut is currently supporting the Mercedes‑AMG Petronas Formula One Team to address a portion of their U.S. race emissions, demonstrating how nature‑based carbon removal can complement ambitious emissions‑reduction efforts and support progress toward net‑zero goals.
