Briana Capra is a seasoned expert in validation and verification, project design, and strategic delivery, with a career marked by meaningful impact. Her journey in sustainable forestry began in 2008 at the Rainforest Alliance and later Preferred by Nature, where she served as an FSC auditor and Senior Associate. She developed and implemented rigorous processes to ensure the integrity of forestry initiatives and championed responsible forest management.

Currently, Briana is the Vice President of Project Development at Chestnut Carbon, where she leads the design and strategic delivery of Improved Forest Management (IFM) and Afforestation projects across the United States. With creativity and integrity at the core of her approach, she ensures that each project meets the highest standards—including FSC Forest Management certification and Verified Impact protocols—under the stewardship of her team.
