Shannon Smith is the Chief Commercial Officer for Chestnut Carbon. Shannon leads sales and marketing for our Chestnut afforestation credit projects as well as our Forest Carbon Works IFM program. She has 20 years of experience leading marketing across consumer and financial projects, and most recently served as Chief Growth Officer for Dandelion Energy, a provider of residential geothermal home heating and cooling systems. Prior to Dandelion, Shannon was the Senior Vice President of Marketing at OnDeck Capital. She worked as a consultant for McKinsey in the firm’s NYC and San Francisco offices, as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley in NYC, and has held leadership roles at consumer brands including J. Crew, Williams-Sonoma, and Sephora.

Shannon received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
